Leather is a natural material derived from cow hide. The following applies to all leather products: Leather skins have the ability to absorb color to varying degrees, which leads to slight color nuances. This is due to unevenness and differences in the leather’s fiber structure, which plays a key role in how leather absorbs color.
Another factor that impacts color absorption is the tanning process.
Additionally, leather may also have natural marks resulting from the animal’s environment and upbringing. Since cattle mainly spend their time outdoors, they are exposed to things like insect bites, scratches, scars, wrinkles and stretch marks.
These are not considered defects in the material, but rather a testament to its natural origin.
